CLASSES
Puppy FUNdamentals
This class will give you the opportunity to learn how to train basic dog skills so your dog can become a good doggy citizen and you can be an active participate in their training. Each class will start with puppy play time and training time is broken up by play time. All training will be done in an operant conditioning (clicker training) method. The goals for this class are to lay a solid foundation of how dogs learn and teach the owners how to train. Training is a life time commitment with the proper start the dogs will find training fun, rewarding and seek out it out and encourage more training from their owner. This FUNdamentals class is to set a puppy up for success no matter if their path is to competitive dog sports or a great family pet. Recommended reading before the start of class is “Culture Clash” by Jean Donaldson. Puppies must be 18 weeks or younger at the start of the first class.

Daytime Class combined with adult dogs starts June 19th
Family FUNdamentals
This class is for your older dog to learn the same skill set as our Puppy FUNdamentals class. It is open to any dog regardless of age. All training will be done in an operant conditioning (clicker training) method. The goals for this class are to lay a solid foundation of how dogs learn and teach the owners how to train. This class is to set a dog up for success no matter if their path is to competitive dog sports or a great family pet. Recommended reading before the start of class is “Culture Clash” by Jean Donaldson.

Advanced FUNdamentals
This class is designed for graduates of either Puppy FUNdamentals or Family Dog classes. We will work on polishing the skills learned in Puppy FUNdamentals or Family Dog classes, such as sit, down, coming when called, and loose leash walking. Then we will train some new skills such as go to your bed, and stays. All skills will be taught with a strong emphasis on training you to train your dog.

Novice Competition Class - NEW CLASS!
This class is for the student that wishes to train toward a Companion Dog title (Novice Class). Each week several exercises will be covered to help the students achieve reliable obedience skills. Each handler will work at their own level and we’ll have fun as we train the dogs in the following: heeling, recalls, stays, stand for exam, polite behavior and attention work. This is a great class for those wanting to get ready for competition. Come and join us for an enjoyable hour of continuing education for you dog in a supportive environment.

Competition Skills Class - NEW CLASS!
This class is for the student who is interested in or is currently competing in Obedience or Rally Obedience. We will use signs from all levels of Rally Obedience to train skills that are needed in traditional Obedience. Skills will be taught by type, not by show class levels. There will be a mix of Rally from Novice to Excellent and traditional Obedience from Novice to Utility. Like all are classes this a positive based training class.

Rally Class without the Wait!
Rally Skills Class is for teams who have completed our Introduction to Rally class or have a Rally Novice title. Each week an Advanced or Excellent course will be set. Sign execution, course tips, and rules will be discussed along with training specific skills for the more advanced rally competitor. See Class Calendar for more details!
Starts June 5th
Introduction to Rally - NEW CLASS!
Our Introduction to Rally Class is open to anyone who have CGC class equivalent on-leash skills with their dog (loose leash walking, sit, down, come). Class will cover AKC Novice signs, ring procedure, and show information. Each week an appropriate course will be set for participants to run. Please note that with all classes prong/pinch or choke collars are not permitted.
Next Sesson Starts on June 19th at 8:30pm - Class is limited to 5 dogs!
Leash Free Obedience Skills
Leash Free Skills class is designed for the advanced student to continue to work on their partnership with their dog. We will be covering sit, come, stay and partner walking all without a leash. Class will stress your need to reinforce your dog to have a positive partnership in a distracting environment. This is a great class for the competitive dog person or the dog park lover. All dogs must be non-aggressive, non-reactive, and approved by the instructor to participate in the class.
Clicker Concepts
Come and learn about clicker training and why it’s such an effective tool for training your dog. This fun motivational class will explain what the clicker is, why it works so well and how to use it effectively. Each week a new topic will be covered to improve your clicker skills. This class is open to anyone interested in learning about clicker training with their dogs.
Canine Good Citizen
The Canine Good Citizen class is a positive class to teach you and your dog the skills required to obtain the CGC. The CGC is a certificate awarded for successful completion of a CGC test. The class is 8 weeks and covers exercises needed to pass, including: accepting handling by a stranger, walking politely on leash, staying on cue, coming when called, being friendly when approached by other dogs and people, staying attentive to the owner around distractions, and calmly handling separation from owner. The last week of class a certified CGC evaluator will be present to do testing. This class is open to all purebred and mix breed dogs.
