Sara McLoudrey CPDT-KA TAGteach Level 2 began training dogs as a 9 year old 4-H participant. Since then she has tried and learned many training styles and found that an all positive approach, based on clicker training, has the best results for all types of dogs and owners. Sara has a proven success record from the all around family, to the competition ring, to hunting retriever training. Sara is actively training and trialing her Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers & her new American Water Spaniel puppy in conformation, obedience, rally and field.
Margaret Simek believes that building a positive relationship between the dog and handler is the basis for any learning. Making the training fun and effective for the team is her #l goal! Margaret teaches companion dog training and competition obedience, Nosework (tm), and Canine Good Citizen class. She also works with behavior problems. Margaret is currently showing one of the top obedience Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in the country, CT Caroway's Roxy Girl UDX, OM4, JH. She also trains her American Staffordshire Terrier, Spice, in obedience and recently completed Spice's Utility Dog titile and earned her first OTCH pnts. Her Siberian Husky, Jace, is her biggest fan, always cheering the team on!
Training @ K-9 PlayTime is a partnership between Sara McLoudrey CPDT of ROOT Dog Training and Margaret Simek of One Happy Dog.
With this partnership Sara and Margaret are able to offer more classes and a greater expertise in positive partnership and clicker based dog training.
Our teachings are based on the work and research of Jean Donaldson, Ian Dunbar, Suzanne Clothier, and Patricia McConnell.
